Lighting Simulation Demonstrates Greenshine’s Superior Coverage and Intensity for Pickleball CourtsPosted by Stephen Shickadance in Inspiring Projects. Applications of Solar Lighting. As pickleball continues to grow in popularity, the need for well-lit courts becomes essential to ensure players can enjoy their game at any time of the day or night. At Greenshine New Energy, we recently conducted a lighting simulation for pickleball courts at McClure Park in Oklahoma, showcasing the performance of our advanced lighting systems. The simulation results highlight the intensity and coverage our lights can provide, ensuring optimal visibility and an enhanced playing experience. Lighting Simulation -McClure Park Project OverviewFor this project, we simulated the installation of three dual 60W fixtures specifically for the pickleball courts. Although lighting was also provided to other areas like basketball courts and parking lots, the green area below is the actual location of the Pickleball courts. These lights are mounted at a height of 20 feet and designed with Type 3 optics, providing a color temperature of 4000K to balance brightness and clarity while minimizing glare. Key Findings from the Simulation
Detailed Coverage for Optimal Court PerformanceThe simulation includes a comprehensive layout plan detailing the placement and height of each light fixture, for the pickleball courts. By carefully positioning the lights, we achieved optimal coverage, ensuring that every corner of the pickleball courts is well-illuminated. The perpendicular illuminance results show that the average light level across the courts is 1.10 foot-candles, with peak areas reaching up to 5.57 foot-candles. Why Proper Lighting Matters for Pickleball CourtsGood lighting is essential for maximizing the use of pickleball courts, especially during the evening or in low-light conditions. Greenshine’s lighting solutions provide a safe, comfortable environment for players, reducing the risk of accidents while enhancing the overall playing experience. Additionally, the energy-efficient design of our lights ensures that court operators can maintain high levels of illumination without incurring excessive energy costs. Conclusion: Get the Best Lighting for Your Pickleball Courts with GreenshineIf you’re looking to improve your pickleball courts with top-quality lighting, our simulation at McClure Park in Oklahoma demonstrates how Greenshine’s lighting solutions can meet your needs. Whether you're upgrading an existing facility or designing new courts, our lights offer the intensity, coverage, and efficiency required for professional-level performance.
